It's gone, time for new investments

...I'm still looking for it, you know...2008? I don't know about any of you, but it past me in a blurr! Is it me or are you feeling as though every year that we get older time decides to kick it up a notch and speed by a smidgen faster? Do I really have a son talking about buying a car, drivers license, and college? No...I can't possibly be that old, can I? O.K...so I don't really want any of you gals to answer that :) Onward we go...into 2009 and I've decided to do some investing. What, you might ask? Let me just back up to yesterday Sunday, Jan. 5th at our church service. My pastor gave a very good sermon (as he always does, thank-you Pastor Sean) but he really hit a nerve when he started asking the congregation if any of us invested in God daily...as much as He invests in us? Truthfully, my answer was no, is no...I don't invest in him and I don't like saying it. I don't like hearing it or thinking about it either. Through the years I've never took time to really make New Years resolutions, my family never did, so I never did. I'm not going to start now, but I am going to start something...like investments. Investments in God, my relationship with him, investments in my marriage, in my children, my family, and my friendships. Time is slipping away too fast, and there's no do-overs...I don't want to be standing in front of my heavenly father saying please, please forgive me...I wanted to spend time with you, I just had so many other things to do...the house to clean, food to cook, errands to run, appointments to keep. No, that's not gonna be me...I'm going to do some investing in 2009...

Good Blog Girl. I totally agree with it. I have felt so much better since I started giving to god (volunteering). I love what I am doing, and push myself alittle more everyday.

p.s.
Its not as bad as you would think, I really like having Kiasa drive.
